The Southeastern Liberals Arts Research Conference (SELARC)
The Southeastern Liberal Arts Research Conference (SELARC) is EGA’s annual conference and flagship program. Although primarily a showcase for graduate research and work, scholars at every level from any field, including, but not limited to, literature, creative writing, technical and professional communication, rhetoric, composition, philosophy, history, art, mathematics, and social and physical sciences are invited to participate. SELARC is a welcoming environment to share work and ideas and meet and work with rising and established scholars across the disciplines.
SELARC also features a keynote address by an established scholar highlighting their current work and scholarship. In addition to this address, the guest speaker will lead or participate in a plenary panel and/or workshop related to their field, designed to promote the professional development of conference attendees. A key goal of the conference is to highlight the work and experiences of scholars and the keynote speaker is an important part of that mission.
